Boston Bruins Rival Officially Makes Shocking Trade
Buffalo Sabres have just made a surprising move, trading forward Filip Cederqvist to the Montreal Canadiens.
However, the twist lies in the return or lack thereof. Officially listed as traded for Future Considerations, the deal leaves many questioning its substance.
At 23, Cederqvist, a 2019 5th-round draft pick, is yet to make an NHL appearance. Over the past two seasons, he played 74 AHL games with the Sabres' affiliate team, the Rochester Americans, notching 10 goals and 24 points.
While his long-term impact on the Canadiens seems uncertain, injuries on the pro roster could potentially see him in action this season.
