Boston Bruins:

Out: Brandon Carlo, John Beecher, 2027 2nd Round Pick
In: Jacob Trouba, Matt Rempe, 2026 6th Round Pick, 2027 3rd Round Pick
New York Rangers:

Out: Jacob Trouba, Matt Rempe, 2026 6th Round Pick, 2027 3rd Round Pick
In: Brandon Carlo, John Beecher, 2027 2nd Round Pick

Could the Bruins afford to bring in a major NHL villain like Jacob Trouba, whose known for his dirty style of play?

Of course, he's not Bobby Schmautz, but he offers a new kind of edge and could get into the other team's heads.

While his contract is considerably expensive, at $8 M AAV, if Sweeney could figure out a way to bring in a third team to eat some cap space, it might make the trade more palatable to all parties involved.

Trouba could bring in not only a tough style of play, but could be a leader in the Bruins locker room, in an environment that needs some stabilizing presence aside from Brad Marchand.

Trouba played 69 games for the New York Rangers last season, scoring 22 points( 3 G, 19 A) and posting 7 points(1 G, 6 A) in 16 playoff games.

The defenseman just shot down a trade with the Detroit Red Wings, would the Boston Bruins be on his no-trade list?
