If the Boston Bruins are interested in trading Jake DeBrusk prior to free agency on July 1st, the time to do it is now.
There are many teams interested in acquiring the pending UFA from the Bruins and want to speak to his agent soon.
DeBrusk finished the 2023-2024 season with 40 points( 19G, 21 A) in 80 NHL games, also scoring 11 points in 13 Stanley Cup playoff games.

His career has been somewhat inconsistent during his seven years in Boston and could hit the free-agent market on July 1st, which could see the Bruins player test the market for a pay-day.
The 1st round pick could end up with the:
GM Barry Trotz has $26 Million in cap space to work with and will be looking for the best top-six forwards to augment the lineup with. DeBrusk would be a perfect fit, as a power forward who can hit, score, and play in multiple positions and scenarios.
With the team not expected to re-sign Elias Lindholm, and almost sending Lindholm to Boston for DeBrusk, the team could revisit the Edmonton-born winger to sign him. The Canucks have considerable cap space to play with and could make an offer to DeBrusk as they look for a replacement for underperforming Ilya Mikeheyev.
If this ends up happening, Mikeheyev could ended up traded or being bought-out as a result.
The Wings could lose top-six forward David Perron and DeBrusk could be the solution. Steve Yzerman has $29 Million to play with and once he figures out the situation with his own free-agents, including Patrick Kane, DeBrusk could be a future add.
The Red Wings are done and now want legitimate NHL talent and DeBrusk would be a great compliment to their forward core.
