The Boston Bruins off-season has been busy, as it began by moving a Vezina Trophy goalie, and they have recently found Patrick Maroon's replacement.

rip pat maroon you will be remembered

Maroon was a reliable bottom-six forward, a scrappy guy who appeared in all Boston Bruins games last season. While he and the Bruins would lose in the 2nd round to the Florida Panthers, Maroon still brought physicality, Stanley Cup experience and even scored two points and added 18 PIMs during the series.

His grit will be missed in the line up as they had lost Maroon to the Blackhawks.

So GM Don Sweeney had to look to the West Coast to find his replacement in Max Jones, a former Anaheim Duck.

Jones will bring a similar style of play to Boston:

Welcome to Boston, Max!

Jones played 52 games with the Ducks last season, scoring 15 points(5 G, 10 A) with 33 PIMs. He still has some potential upside at only 26 years old and could breakout under Jim Montgomery's coaching style, like we've seen with Trent Frederic.
