This followed the Habs' decision to place the 25-year-old blue liner on waivers on Tuesday.
Lindstrom's tenure with the Canadiens this season saw him participate in 14 games, contributing three goals and one assist. Additionally, he played in four contests with the AHL's Laval Rocket, the Habs' farm club, without registering a point.
This marked Lindstrom's first season with the Canadiens after spending the initial four years of his career with the Detroit Red Wings, who drafted him in the second round of the 2017 draft.
Notably, he recorded eight points in 36 games with Detroit in the previous season.
In his overall career, Lindstrom has amassed five goals and 29 points across 142 games.
Now, with the Ducks, he embarks on a new chapter after the team traded defenseman Jamie Drysdale and a draft pick to the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday, acquiring forward Cutter Gauthier in return.
This acquisition adds depth to the Ducks' defensive lineup and sets the stage for Lindstrom's continued journey in the NHL.
