A major revelation was just made regarding Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman by the NHL.

Nobody imagined that Jeremy Swayman would be playing games in the NHL this early into the season, espeically with the way contract negotiations were going.

The Boston Bruins decided to take contract negotiations public when Cam Neely stated that he would have $64 million reasons why he would be playing right now.

Jeremy Swayman's agent Lewis Gross took to social media to deny ever hearing about this deal, and things started to look ugly for both sides. It seemed like Jeremy Swayman was not going to agree to a deal until closer to the December 1st deadline, if he did decide to re-sign.

The Boston Bruins shocked everyone two days before the regular season by announcing the signing of Jeremy Swayman to a 8-year, $8.25 million contract extension, and yesterday he appeared in his first game of the year.

Swayman did not appear in the first game due to missing the entire training camp, and regular season with the Boston Bruins.

In his first game back with the team, he ended up getting the win, beating the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 6-4.

With this win, Jeremy Swayman picked up his 80th career win, and became the second fastest American Born goaltender in NHL history to this milestone.

Jeremy Swayman started his 2024-25 season with a victory and helped the

extend their point streak against the Canadiens to 15 games dating to Nov. 26, 2019, the League's longest active run against one franchise. #NHLFaceOff
