The Boston Bruins have completed a surprising move with young forward Matthew Poitras.

Jim Montgomery is looking at different line combinations, and where to play certain players, and no better place to do it then during training camp.

With that being said, Jim Montgomery is experimenting with Matthew Poitras to see if he would be best playing on the wing or center.

It was stated during the Boston Bruins press conference on Wednesday, that the Bruins would be putting Poitras in at center and on the wing to see where he fits best.

Without a doubt during the first day of training camp, Jim Montgomery moved Matthew Poitras to right wing.

Important Notes:
- Zadorov paired with McAvoy
- Poitras starting on the wing
- Zacha-Lindholm-Pastrnak together

Matthew Poitras was getting some reps with Koepke, and Frederic during day one of training camp.

This year Matthew Poitras isn't guaranteed a spot on the Bruins roster, and he needs to prove again to the Bruins that this is where he belongs.
