Former Boston Bruin, and a legend across the NHL Jaromir Jagr has officially confirmed he will be retiring.

Wednesday was the beginning of Jagr's 37th season of professional hockey which is just insane. He is playing for the club he owns the Kladno Knights, and during their first game Jagr picked up an assist. Crazy he can still put up the points at 52-years old in one of Europe's top leagues.

Jagr played in the NHL for 24 of the 37 years he's been playing professional hockey, and many of us were lucky enough to watch him become one of the best players to ever play that game.

Jaromir Jagr's agent confirmed during an interview that he will be retiring once this season has come to an end.

"Jaromir loves hockey very much. He is in very good health and has no problems with discipline. That is why he continues to play hockey. He is currently the oldest athlete who continues to play hockey. Before the match with Pardubice, Jaromir officially announced that this season would be his last in his career." Zidek said.

Sadly whenever Jaromir Jagr does retire at the end of this year, he will not be able to enter the Hockey Hall of Fame until 2028. This was confirmed by Chris Johnston of TSN.
