Boston Bruins confirm the worst as Andrew Peeke will not return after controversial hit

The Boston Bruins have just confirmed the worst for defenseman Andrew Peeke as he will not return for the game after being on the receiving end of controversial hit.

The Boston Bruins knew coming into this original six game against the Toronto Maple Leafs it was going to be a physical one, but little did they know they were going to lose one of their defenseman.

Just over 12 minutes into the first period, Andrew Peeke was playing the puck in the corner when he took a big blindside hit from Max Pacioretty, that would end up causing him to leave the game.

Andrew Peeke originally left to the locker room after the hit from Max Pacioretty, but later just before the second period started the Boston Bruins announced that Andrew Peeke will not return to the game with an upper-body injury.
