After the Boston Bruins announced the firing of Jim Montgomery, there was a lot of mixed reactions on social media.
Now Bruins fans and many around the league including a lot of popular hockey accounts like the Empty Netters are calling for upper management to be held accountable.
The Empty Netters Podcast posted to social media following the firing of Jim Montgomery that upper management needs to be held accountable.
It stated that the whole Neely and Sweeney tree needs to be "chopped down", and many fans agreed with them.
Jim Montgomery had a record of 120-41-23 over the years of being the head coach of the Boston Bruins.
Moreover, Bruce Cassidy had a record of 245-108-26 during his time with the Bruins before being fired.
Over the past eight years the Boston Bruins have gone through three Jack Adams winners along with two Stanley Cup winners.
At some point you have to think that this is not the head coach's fault, but a bigger problem within the Bruins organization, and many believe that to be upper management.
Don Sweeney and Cam Neely will feel the heat going forward especially if the Bruins new head coach is not successful the remainder of the year.
Do you think Boston Bruins upper management needs to be held accountable not just the head coach's?
