Boston Bruins Head Coach Blames The Team For Their Loss
Following a disappointing loss to the Detroit Red Wings, Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery didn't mince words as he placed the blame squarely on his own team.
In a candid assessment, Montgomery attributed the defeat to the Bruins' shortcomings, asserting that the loss was "90% self-inflicted."
He pointed out the disparity in speed between the two teams, highlighting subpar performances on both the power play and penalty kill.
Montgomery says that loss was 90% self-inflicted.
«They played fast. We didn't. Power play wasn't good. Penalty kill wasn't good. You're not gonna win a lot of games when that's the case.»
Montgomery acknowledged that in a game where these crucial aspects falter, victories become elusive.
The coach's forthright evaluation underscores the need for improvement within the Bruins' gameplay to secure future successes.
