Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco confirmed a controversial decision when deciding who will start in net tonight.

With the Boston Bruins currently riding a two-game winning streak, they will be looking to extend that tonight to three games when they face off against the Buffalo Sabres.

Interim head coach of the Boston Bruins, Joe Sacco made a controversial decision when confirming his starting goaltender.

It was confirmed that the Boston Bruins goaltender tonight will be Jeremy Swayman.

Swayman in net this eve.

There was speculation recently that the Bruins may try and trade Joonas Korpisalo due to how little he is playing. With the Bruins paying him $3 million a year they could use that cap space elsewhere and find a cheaper backup goalie to Jeremy Swayman.

Swayman has faced more contenders then Korpisalo has this year, but looking at the numbers, Korpisalo has been by far the better goaltender.

Korpisalo has appeared in 17 games this year and has a solid 9-4-2 record with a 2.70 goals against average, and a .899 save percentage, and was just recognized by the NHL for being one of the top goaltenders of the week.

This is a goalie appreciation post. 🥰

Jeremy Swayman on the other hand has appeared in 36 games this season with a 16-16-4 record and has a 2.95 goals against average, and a .898 save percentage.

With the Bruins playing a weaker team in the Buffalo Sabres, would you not want Joonas Korpisalo taking this game?

After tonight the Bruins don't play again until Thursday when they take on the Winnipeg Jets.
