Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco confirmed the Boston Bruins will be without four players today as they are not traveling with the team.

Yesterday it was announced that the Boston Bruins will be heading to Buffalo without four key players in their lineup.

The Bruins are on the road for one game before they return back home, but will be without the likes of Hampus Lindholm, Charlie McAvoy, Oliver Wahlstrom, and Mark Kastelic.

McAvoy and Lindholm are progressing but won't travel to Buffalo. Wahlstrom (illness) and Kastelic will also not travel. Koepke will be an option, per Sacco.

From Joe Sacco:

#NHLBruins practice updates per Coach Sacco:

▪️Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm will not travel to Buffalo
▪️Oliver Wahlstrom (illness) is also out vs. the Sabres
▪️Cole Koepke is an option to return on Tuesday night

Although the Bruins will have to face the Buffalo Sabres without these four key players, they did get some amazing news regarding both Charlie McAvoy, and Hampus Lindholm.

Lindholm who has been out of the Bruins lineup since November 12th after suffering a fractured knee, finally joined the Boston Bruins in practice without a no contact jersey.

Charlie McAvoy has been out since January 11th also joined the Boston Bruins for the first time since suffering his injury with a regular jersey, meaning both of these key defenseman are inching closer to returning to the lineup.

Both Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm are skating in regular practice jerseys.

Are you surprised these four players won't be traveling with the Boston Bruins today?
