Today, Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery gave some big updates on some of their injured forwards.

The Boston Bruins are getting ready to play in their first preseason game of the year, taking on the New York Rangers.

During his media scrum Jim Montgomery was asked about the health of Elias Lindholm and Morgan Geekie, and gave some promising updates on both of their healths.

Montgomery stated that Morgan Geekie exited the Bruins scrimmage yesterday due to "maintenance" and he should be fine going forward.

As for Elias Lindholm, Jim Montgomery expects him to be back skating on Tuesday, after being held out of the scrimmage due to soreness, and the Bruins didn't want to chance anything.

Pregame updates from Montgomery:

Elias Lindholm expected to be back skating on Tuesday. Bruins held him out the past couple days because of minor soreness.

The Bruins have a lot of prospects playing tonight, and they will all be looking to make a impact as many of them will be fighting for a roster spot this season.
