With the Boston Bruins gearing up for their game against the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight, they have officially revealed their starting goaltender.
The Bruins are coming off of a 3-2 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues, and now they are looking to get back into the win column against the Blue Jackets tonight.
It was confirmed that Jeremy Swayman will be the starting goaltender for the Boston Bruins tonight.
Joonas Korpisalo played the Bruins last game against the St. Louis Blues which was two days ago, and will now go back to Jeremy Swayman.
This decision is shocking due to how bad Jeremy Swayman has been compared to Joonas Korpisalo.
Moreover, Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery did not leave it out of the question to start Joonas Korpisalo once again.
Swayman so far this year in thirteen games has a 5-6-2 record, with a 3.35 goals against average, and .888 save percentage.
Korpisalo has appeared in just seven games with the Bruins so far this season and has a 3-2-1 record with a .901 save percentage and a 2.74 goals against average.
Jeremy Swayman needs to be better for the Boston Bruins, and there is nothing else that needs to be said.
His play after signing the massive eight-year, $8 million deal has been terrible.
Do you think starting Jeremy Swayman over Joonas Korpisalo was the right decision for the Boston Bruins?
