Boston Bruins captain has issued a statement regarding the physical altercation that happened between him and Jim Montgomery.

Earlier today Jim Montgomery issued a statement regarding the incident that took place with on Saturday night when the Boston Bruins took on the Utah Hockey Club involving him and Brad Marchand getting into a physical altercation.

Montgomery went on to say that there wasn't a conversation with Marchand about the incident after it happened, and there doesn't need to be one, and also went on to compliment that captain stating he does a lot of things very well.

Monty: "Between Marchy & I, there didn't need to be a conversation. He & I are both emotional people. I'm not ecstatic w/myself about it, but I don't think about it afterward & neither does he He's a pro & a great player that does so many things.

Well now the captain himself has issued a statement following their morning skate regarding the altercation, and he basically said the same thing, backing up his head coach, and even stated that there would have been a problem if he didn't call him out after his sloppy play that led to a goal.

Brad Marchand on reaction to the bench incident with Jim Montgomery in Utah: "That's a thing? People are very sensitive these days. It's unfortunate how coaches are scrutinized for things like that. There's a lack of accountability nowadays because people can't handle the heat"

Brad Marchand was happy that Jim Montgomery called him out and made him take accountability for what he did wrong during that play.
