Bruins Officially Cut Ties With Forward
In a late-night twist, as the clock struck midnight on Wednesday, May 31st, the Boston Bruins made a decisive move by cutting ties with Matias Mantykivi.
Failing to reach an agreement for a new contract before the midnight cutoff, the Bruins' ownership made the tough decision to let Mantykivi's rights expire.
Matias was a highly touted prospect for the Bruins, he was a centerman and a key depth piece to the Bruins' core, especially with Bergeron on the verge of retirement, he would've been a key piece to re-sign and bring to North America to develop with the Providence Bruins.
As the hockey world eagerly awaits further developments, all eyes will be on the #NHLBruins for any official announcements.
