Bruins Player Makes Major Equipment Change Following The Adam Johnson Accident
Boston Bruins forward Jakub Lauko has made a safety-conscious decision after a recent accident on the ice.
Lauko, who narrowly avoided a serious eye injury a couple of weeks ago when he was hit by a skate blade, has spoken about his return to practice and his decision to wear a neck guard for the rest of his career.
Reflecting on the incident, Lauko expressed gratitude for his well-being, stating,
"I'm just grateful that I can be here now because it was very close to the eye... after this experience, it's too much of a risk... I'll wear the neck guard, I think, for the rest of my career."
This decision underscores the importance of player safety in the game of hockey.
