In a prelude to his scheduled arbitration hearing on August 1st, Boston Bruins' forward Trent Frederic has sealed the deal on a fresh contract.

The talented restricted free agent and the Bruins' management have found common ground, crafting a mutually satisfying two-year, $4.6 million contract extension that keeps Frederic in the fold.
Reflecting on the process and his future aspirations as he remains firmly with the Bruins, Frederic shared his thoughts with reporters, saying,
"This time around, the contract negotiations were quite distinct from my entry-level agreement. The whole arbitration aspect provided a bit more room for maneuver for RFAs, I suppose. I'm genuinely content with the terms we've reached. The fact that we settled before the hearing is a source of satisfaction for both parties, I believe."

Delving further into his evolving role, the forward elaborated on stepping into a leadership position in light of veteran center Patrice Bergeron's retirement. Frederic emphasized,
"My approach involves dedicated effort, striving to be the best version of myself both as a person and as a hockey player. I aim to represent the Boston Bruins in the finest way possible. While it's undoubtedly a challenge to fill the void left by players like Bergy and the others who departed during the summer, I'm optimistic about the talented individuals we have within the team.»

With his sights set on building upon his achievements in the 2022-23 season, where he achieved a career-high of 17 goals alongside 14 assists while averaging approximately 12 minutes on the ice per game, Frederic exudes determination for continued success.
