GM Don Sweeney and the Boston Bruins are rumored to be making some big moves soon.

With the team in an offensive drought, they will need all the help they can get. Including a top-six forward, notably a center.

One of those names who has been named in the mix is the Anaheim Ducks' Trevor Zegras, who is either on the market or not depending upon your source.

TSN's Chris Johnston thinks the priority to move Zegras isn't one of the Ducks' pressing needs.

"It does sound like the Ducks are happy with him. There have been maybe some of those things that they've questioned him in the past, whether it's his habits, defense, attention to detail, things like that. So I'm not certainly saying he won't be traded, but I don't think he's going to be up at the top of the trade board whenever it gets dusted off, because I do think that the atmosphere has shifted a little bit around him.

GM Don Sweeney has been spotted at multiple NHL games recently including the Montreal Canadiens, Winnipeg Jets, Toronto Maple Leafs, and St. Louis Blues.

It's believed the Bruins are specifically aiming to add, mainly, a top-6 winger and, possibly, a top-6 center.

«He is looking for help, make no mistake about it,» the executive told RG.

«It's no secret that he wants a scoring winger for the top-6, but don't be surprised if he snags another top-6 center,» the executive said.

The Bruins during the offseason added defense, and offensive help in Nikita Zadarov and Elias Lindholm.

They also added Mark Kastelic, and Max Jones, of which only Kastelic has been a contributor to the offense lately.

The team's a ghost of the Bruins who won the President's Trophy in 2022-2023, and Sweeney is currently juggling two positions, one with the Bruins, and Hockey Canada.

It's hard telling where Sweeney's next move will be, but they need serious help, as Justin Brazeau isn't more than a temporary fix in the top six.

Only time will tell where the next 6 months will take the Bruins, but with hope, Sweeney can find the appropriate help, and not just depth signings.

We can think of one forward who Sweeney could've grabbed to add scoring to the mix, Daniel Sprong! But instead, he let him slide to the Kraken.
