Don Sweeney's job could be on the line if this free agency transaction goes through.
Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney has been known to do some controversial moves during his time, and Bruins fans aren't shy to let him know how they feel.
There is a feeling that if this transaction happens during free agency, his could possibly lose his job.
Leafslatest on X or formerly known as twitter revealed that the Toronto Maple Leafs have mutual interest with Boston Bruins forward Jake DeBrusk ahead of the July 1st free agency.
Boston Bruins fans have already taken to social media about how they would not be happy with Don Sweeney if he were to let another fan favourite walk in free agency this year, as he let Tyler Bertuzzi walk last year.
When the Bruins acquired Bertuzzi last year he quickly became a fan favourite and many were hopeful that he would stick around, ultimately the Bruins were in a tough cap situation and he signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
If Don Sweeney does let DeBrusk walk, there is a good chance that fans will be calling for his job. Dp
