Don Sweeney the general manager of the Boston Bruins just gave a horrible update on captain Brad Marchand's health status.

During the off-season Brad Marchand underwent three different surgeries, and no one knew about it until just a couple weeks ago.

Brad Marchand during his first media appearence revealed that during the off-season he underwent three different surgeries on his elbow, groin and abdominal (to repair a sports hernia).

Yesterday during Don Sweeney's press conference he spoke on Brad Marchand's health and gave a good and bad update.

Sweeney stated that Brad Marchand will not be skating with the main group during training camp for now at least, but he is on track to be in the opening night roster for the Boston Bruins.

Don Sweeney said that Brad Marchand is not expected to skate with the main group tomorrow as he gets back up to speed from offseason surgeries.

He adds that Marchand remains on track to be ready for the start of the regular season.
