The Blackhawks have signed another former Boston Bruin, in Craig Smith who recently made trips to Washington and Dallas along the way.

Craig Smith will be rejoining former teammate, Taylor Hall in Chicago as GM Kyle Davidson seems like to ex-Bruins.

Smith was a Boston Bruin from 20202-21 to the 2022-2023 NHL season and was paired with David Krejci and Taylor Hall when he was wearing the Black and Gold.

Smith has gained notoriety since his time in Dallas as one of the best fourth-liners in the league.

But he has versatility and was in the Bruins' top-six at one point, as even Taylor Hall recognized the skill and speed of his game:

I think he tilts the ice with his wall play in his end and his speed through the neutral zone. The ability to create turnovers in the offensive zone right away was something that caught my eye when we started playing together. That's one of my favorite things to do is create offense off the turnovers. (He's) probably one of the most well-liked guys I've played with as a teammate. I'm just really happy for him tonight.

Smith played 170 games in Boston scoring 78 points( 33 G, 45 A) in that time frame, as his 2 seasons here was a 30+ point player.

It looks like Hall and Smith could reunite on a line in the Blackhawks, should injuries plague the team again.

Smith will play in Chicago for a bargain contract of $1 Million AAV, over one year as the Hawks continue their rebuild.
