The Toronto Maple Leafs already made a big change in their coaching staff as they fired Sheldon Keefe and hired Craig Berube.

They are looking to make more changes as there have been rumours that former Boston Bruins fan favourite Marc Savard will be joining the Toronto Maple Leafs coaching staff.

Marc Savard served as the power play coach for the Calgary Flames and he would assume a similar roll in Toronto.

Marc Savard was in charge of CGY's power play this season (if that's what he's coming to TOR for) generating at 17.9%, good enough for 26th in the NHL

But given the type of player Savard was, and the players on TOR, he's probably a better option than Boucher.

After having problems in the postseason, the Maple Leafs feel like changes to the coaching staff and some players will be the right move to try and get them to finally go on a deep playoff run.

Savard was known for his offensive abilities during his time in the NHL, but his career was cut short after suffering problems with concussions. He was on the Bruins during their 2011 Stanley Cup winning team and has the experience the Leafs are looking for.
