According to NESN.com, former Bruins prospect goaltender Reid Dyck has decided to join the Utah hockey club rookie camp after failing to agree to a contract with the Boston Bruins.

Dyck needed to agree to an entry level contract by June 1st to remain with the Bruins but since that failed to occur, he became an unrestricted free agent. Over the past five seasons in the WHL, Dyck has played for the Swift Current Broncos.

Last season he played 35 games, and posted 2.70 goals against along with a save percentage of .911 while holding a record of 25-7-2. He was drafted by the bruins in the 2022 entry draft comma sixth round 183rd overall.

The Utah hockey club is working at a feverish pitch to be ready for the upcoming NHL season after springing to life by one of the quickest sales in NHL history after the Arizona Coyotes franchise became defunct and was sold to Smith Entertainment Group.

It remains to be seen on how well this franchise will look in its first year and there is much work to do from the Delta Center requiring renovations to the team naming itself.

The Bruins training camp will begin in mid-September with six preseason games on the docket.
