A mid-game injury has now changed things for the Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers.

During the first period, Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner would end up leaving the game after being plowed by Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov who was driving the net with the puck.

Stuart Skinner has left the game after getting RUN OVER by Nikita Zadorov 🤕

The Edmonton Oilers would end up getting a power play out of this after already leading the Boston Bruins 1-0, but would not be able to capitalize on it.

When Nikita Zadorov was crashing the net with the puck, it was clear that Edmonton Oilers defenseman Brett Kulak played a big part in Zadorov taking out Skinner as he clearly shoved him into the goaltender.

The Edmonton defender definitely helped change the direction of Zadorov but the big man could've made it look like he was at least trying to make an effort to move a little.

Following the collision, it looked like Skinner wanted to stay in the net, but the Edmonton Oilers ended up forcing him to come out more then likely for concussion protocol.

Looked like Skinner was staying in, but now he just got pulled for Pickard. Gotta imagine that's the concussion spotter.

But to begin the second period, Stuart Skinner would be in the net for the Edmonton Oilers.
