A very well known insider has confirmed that it is possible Jake DeBrusk could be heading to the Canadian market.

It's no secret that the Boston Bruins will be a different team next year, there are some big changes on the way and that includes the possibility that Jake DeBrusk leavs the team.

A couple years ago DeBrusk requested a trade out of Boston, but in his exit interview this year he stated that he hopes to continue playing for the Boston Bruins, but according to Fluto Shinzawa a known Bruins insider for The Athletic he doesn't think the Bruins are going to offer him a contract.

David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period has confirmed three teams that could show interest in DeBrusk if/when he does hit the market on July 1st. Those three teams being the Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

«If DeBrusk hits the open market as a free agent in July, several teams in need of a physical top-six forward will be calling, with suitors like the Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers and Toronto Maple Leafs potentially in the mix.»

Jake DeBrusk has ties to the Edmonton Oilers with his dad Louie apart of the broadcast team, and is also an Edmonton native.

It's no secret the Toronto Maple Leafs are making some big changes this year, and adding a top scorer who can produce in the playoffs could be something they are looking for.

It seems like Viktor Arvidsson will be hitting the free market in LA, and with them losing a top 6 winger, they would be looking to add one and Jake DeBrusk could be that guy.
