Insider Links The Boston Bruins To $5.75 Million Central Division Forward In Shocking Development
A recent announcement from an NHL insider just revealed that the Boston Bruins are currently linked to Colorado Avalanche's center Casey Mittelstadt.
Along with the Boston Bruins, the Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets are reportedly also linked to the $5.75 million forward.
Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney came out earlier in the year and stated he isn't pleased with the current roster the Boston Bruins have right now, and speculation has surfaced ever since on when a move would be made.
Don Sweeney on TNT says there are areas of the Bruins' roster he'd like to improve before the trade deadline, but that if they suffer more injuries or "don't get the job done," they might have to take a different path.
Well one could be made very soon. The Boston Bruins are in the fight for a wildcard spot, sitting just one point out of a wildcard spot.
If Don Sweeney and the management group believes this team has a chance to make the playoffs this year, some big changes could be made.
Boston Bruins linked to a top center
Mittelstadt just signed a three-year $5.75 million contract this past off-season.
With how badly the Bruins need help down the middle, Matt Larkin believes that he would be the perfect fit to play with David Pastrank, and that he would compliment his game well.
The one problem the Bruins would face would be staying under the salary cap. If they were to make this trade, multiple pieces would have to be involved to make it work.
