The Boston Bruins could be sellers at the trade deadline, if so that means they'll have to decide what to do with forward Trent Frederic .

Trent Frederic had a breakout season for the Bruins in 2023-2024, he scored 40 points (18 G, 22 A) under Head Coach Jim Montgomery.

This was building on the year, the team won the President's Trophy, and Frederic had found himself in the top nine for the Bruins. A key roleplayer for the team.

He would drop the gloves for his teammates, and play a physical and gritty game for the Bruins.

Now, as the team fails to achieve what they want to this season, which is to make the Stanley Cup playoffs, they will have to consider who to prioritize.

One of those players is Trent Frederic.

Frederic was a 29th overall draft pick in the 1st round of the 2016 NHL draft.

He could add some meaningful size and grit to a Stanley Cup contenders lineup.

This year for the Bruins he's played 55 games and scored 15 points (8 G, 7 A), 74 shots on goal, 29 blocks, 3 power-play points, and averages 14:01 TOI.

And just like last season, he's been found on the Bruins' third line.

However, there are questions on what kind of return the Bruins could get for him.

That was about a month-and-a-half ago, and a lot can change in that time, but it shows how much interest Frederic could potentially draw if the Bruins did decide to make him available. If the Bruins could get valuable draft pick(s) for Frederic, that should be explored.

Questions remain over what happens next, as the Bruins are still 6th in the Atlantic Division, with a record of 27-24-6.

They could end up missing the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
