A top and promising NHL prospect, Cameron Allen may have just ruined his NHL dreams.

It was reported that Allen was arrested by police and charged after he was involved in a car accident in South London.

The police officers were called, and responded to a report involving an unoccupied vehicle that was left running and appeared to be in an accident.

When arriving on the scene just after 3 a.m, the officer's revealed that there was blood on the driver side door, and the blood lead them away from the car, leaving them to believe the drive fled after the accident occurred.

Following an investigation, the officers ended up locating Cameron Allen at a nearby address, and arrested him. He is now facing multiple different charges including: impaired driving, failing to remain at the scene, and failing to report an accident.

Injuries suffered in the accident involving Cameron Allen

Everyone involved in the car accident were reportedly okay, except for one. It was reported that an individual was left with minor injuries and was taken to the hospital accordingly.

Since the arrest, it was reported that Allen was released from custody, but is scheduled to appear in court on March 6th.

This could be the end of his NHL dreams, and he was a really promising NHL prospect. Allen was originally drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, and was once considered a top prospect.

At just 16, Allen was named captain for Team Canada at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, and also received the honour of OHL Rookie of the Year when playing for the Guelph Strom in 2021-22.

Now it's unsure how his future is going to pan out. Neither the Washington Capitals or London Knights have commented on the incident that has occurred.
