Amidst goaltender Linus Ullmark's recovery from an injury sustained earlier this month, the Boston Bruins have seamlessly transitioned to relying on Jeremy Swayman between the pipes.

Today, Swayman showcased his prowess by securing a shutout against the New Jersey Devils at TD Garden, making 31 saves in the processhis third blanking of the season.

The camaraderie between Ullmark and Swayman, forged since Ullmark joined the Bruins in 2021, is a unique and celebrated dynamic in the NHL. Their postgame celebrations have become viral sensations, transcending team loyalties and eliciting smiles even from fans of rival teams.

Following his standout performance, Swayman showered praise on Ullmark stating:

"I'm going to compete and give the team a chance to win every night," Swayman said. "No doubt in my mind Linus is going to be back in no time. He's a Swedish viking. We all know that he's a stud, so he's going to be back and I can't wait to have him back."

Meanwhile, Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery commended Swayman's exceptional play in Ullmark's absence. Reflecting on Swayman's opportunity to shine, Montgomery acknowledged,

"It's nice to be able to see him have this opportunity. If Linus wasn't injured, we wouldn't have seen it."

With the team off until Thursday, when they will face the visiting Colorado Avalanche, the Bruins look forward to maintaining their momentum and navigating the goaltending dynamic with skill and resilience.
