Jim Montgomery Blames Himself Following Embarrassing Loss To The Buffalo Sabres
In the aftermath of the Boston Bruins' disheartening loss to the Buffalo Sabres, Head Coach Jim Montgomery candidly shouldered the blame for the team's lackluster performance. Expressing his frustration, Montgomery acknowledged that the slow start was a significant factor in the embarrassing defeat.
"I wish I knew," lamented Montgomery when questioned about the reasons behind the team's sluggish beginning. "I think we just didn't have any energy or life to us. I've got to take responsibility for the lack of us having that," he admitted.
The coach did not shy away from recognizing his role in the team's subpar showing, citing concerns stemming from their practice session the day before the game.
"I was worried after the way we practiced yesterday,"
Montgomery confessed, highlighting a potential link between the team's lack of vitality on the ice and their performance during the preceding practice.
