In a standout performance on Saturday in Boston, Trent Frederic notched his third dual-goal game of the season, guiding the Bruins to victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning at TD Garden.

Filling in admirably for the sidelined James van Riemsdyk, Frederic seamlessly joined the second power-play unit, strategically positioning himself near the net for deflections and rebounds. His success materialized during the Bruins' initial power-play opportunity, marking his first career power-play point.

Humorously reflecting on the moment, Frederic quipped,

"I think it was my first power-play shot. I'm one-for-one."
Regretting the missed chance to claim the puck as a keepsake, he acknowledged the fleeting nature of such opportunities.

Transitioning between wing and center positions, the 25-year-old forward has made a considerable impact with 12 goals and nine assists in 38 games this season, accumulating a total of 21 points.

Coach Jim Montgomery lauded Frederic's growing confidence, emphasizing his poise with the puck and exceptional hands. Montgomery noted,

"He's got to keep just being really focused on his habits and details and moving his feet. He's doing those things. I expect him to keep scoring like he is."

With last season's personal best of 31 points in mind, Frederic is on track to surpass that figure this season. The upcoming clash against the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena on Monday night presents another opportunity for Frederic to further bolster his points tally.
