There was a report going around that Milan Lucic was reportedly set to sign a contract with the New Jersey Devils, and Milan Lucic's agent quickly responded.
Wednesday night Bob Stauffer a reporter for the Edmonton Oilers stated that the New Jersey Devils would be signing Milan Lucic to a professional tryout contract, not long after this news broke, Gerry Johannson, Milan Lucic's agent cleared the air and stated that he was not signing a contract with the Devils.
He also stated that Milan Lucic would need approval from the league in order to sign a contract with a team this year, and that's because after Lucic was arrested, he entered the NHLPA Players Assistance Program.
The Devils also responded, stating that the league has full control of this situation and that the Devils did not sign Lucic to a PTO.
Milan Lucic is looking to keep his NHL dreams alive, but will need approval from the league before doing so.
