David Pastrnak continued his impressive season with his career-high 49th goal on Thursday, and now, has a chance to join Bruins' legends today.

With the Tampa Bay Lightning visiting Boston's TD Garden, Pastrnak not only has an opportunity to reach 50 goals for the first time in his career, but can join some Bruins icons while doing so.

As per NHL Public Relations:

David Pastrnak (49-4695 in 71 GP) can become the sixth player in franchise history to record 50-goals in a single season, the others: Phil Esposito (5x), Cam Neely (3x), Ken Hodge (1973-74), Rick Middleton (1981-82) and Johnny Bucyk (1970-71).

Pastrnak's 95 points this season also ties his career-high that he initially set during the pandemic-shortened 2019-20 season.

But Wait, There's More!

Coming into today's matchup with the Division rival Lightning, Pasta sits at 599 career points and can become the third fastest Bruin to 600 points, behind Orr and Bourque.

David Pastrnak (289-310599 in 581 GP) can reach the 600-point mark and require the third-fewest games to do so among skaters who debuted with the Bruins behind only Bobby Orr (461 GP) and Ray Bourque (569 GP).

Pastrnak, 26, is looking to become the second player to reach 50 goals this season, as Connor McDavid is way ahead of the pack at 60.

So, basically, a goal from Pasta this afternoon will be special in many ways!
