Pat Maroon future in the NHL might have just been revealed.

It was just revealed that Pat Maroon may be gearing up for his last season in the NHL after signing a one-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks in free agency.

Maroon stated he was interested in re-signing with the Boston Bruins during their locker room clean out interviews, and the Boston Bruins had mutual interest, but Maroon decided to sign with the Blackhawks.

Maroon is entering his 14th year in the NHL, and is getting ready to play for his 8th different team. At age 36 he is thinking that this could very well be his last one, especially if he can't stay healthy.

The Chicago Blackhawks are a young and talented team, and made some great moves to help with their rebuild in the off-season, adding former Boston Bruin, Pat Maroon was a great move as he brings a lot of experience and leadership.

If this is Maroon's last year in the NHL, hopefully he can stay healthy and enjoy it!
