Perfect opportunity for the Bruins: Former first-round pick placed on waivers by the Nashville Predators
The Boston Bruins are being presented with a perfect opportunity to claim a former first-round pick off of waivers from the Nashville Predators.
The Predators recently have talked about how if they don't start winning games, they are going to sell and start their rebuild this year.
A message was just sent from their General Manager Barry Trotz today by placing a former first-round pick on waivers today.
Elliotte Friedman revealed that the Nashville Predators have placed Dante Fabbro on waivers Saturday, and this is a perfect opportunity for the Boston Bruins.
Dante Fabbro (NASH) on waivers
Andrew Peeke is considered week-to-week right now with an upper-body injury, and the Bruins have Parker Wotherspoon replacing him at the moment, but Fabbor is a solid puck-moving defenseman, and he likes to shoot the puck, something the Bruins need more of.
Dante Fabbro has been placed on waivers. A two-way puck-moving defenceman, not very physical or mobile. Shoots the puck, likes to take one-timers.
Active in the defensive zone, good stick, retrieves loose pucks. Has seen his minutes decline in the past few seasons.
Fabbro was drafted 17th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Level Draft by the Nashville Predators, and now he may play for another team for the first time in his career.
Many insiders around the league believe that there is no way he makes it through waivers without being claimed.
Wow. Dante Fabbro on waivers, per
@FriedgeHNIC
. There's almost no way he doesn't get claimed by someone
This season Fabbro has only played in 6 games for the Nashville Predators and has no points, with a -3 rating, but the Predators have not been good to start off the 2024-25 season.
Fabbro is currently on a 1-year deal with a cap hit of $2.5 million.
