Police Report Reveals New Details Regarding Milan Lucic's Incident
New insights have emerged from a police report shedding light on the events leading to the apprehension of Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic over the weekend.
Details gleaned from the police report reveal that the incident unfolded in the early hours of Saturday morning, with the alleged domestic disturbance revolving around a missing cell phone.
The family member who contacted the authorities claimed that, following a night out where Lucic was believed to have consumed alcohol, he couldn't locate his cell phone. This led to Lucic demanding the phone from the family member.
While leaked information from the 911 call suggested the family member had been "attacked and choked," those assertions weren't reiterated when speaking with officers at the scene.
Officers observed redness on the family member's chest, although they denied any attempted strangulation and declined medical attention. Nevertheless, officers documented the injuries through photographs.
Upon entering the apartment, officers noted a broken lamp and shattered glass on the floor. It was at this juncture that Lucic was arrested on charges of assault and battery on a family member.
During the confrontation with officers, Lucic, who appeared to be intoxicated, denied any wrongdoing and offered no explanation for the events.
The police report, as reported by ABC Boston, states,
"He appeared to be intoxicated when he answered the door. He stated to officers that nothing had happened and did not attempt to provide any explanation."
Lucic is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges in Boston on Monday.
