The Boston Bruins are currently without their captain, but NHL insider Elliotte Friedman revealed when the team expects him to return to their lineup.

Brad Marchand was injured on Saturday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins early in the first period, and did not return.
Marchand unfortunately lost his balance in the corner before being hit from behind by Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman P.O. Joesph. The captain laid motionless on the ice for awhile with the trainer talking to him, and required assistance from David Pastrnak and the trainer to get back to the bench.
After getting back to the bench, Marchand went right down the tunnel and looked to be in a lot of discomfort.
Marchand hurt on this hit from Joseph. Looked like he kinda lost his footing as the hit was coming, didn't seem that vicious.
Head coach Joe Sacco revealed that Brad Marchand did make the trip with the Bruins to Minnesota to finish off their back-to-back this weekend, but he would not play in the game.

Elliotte Friedman Gives A Timeline For Marchand's Return

Today on Sportsnets "32 Thoughts" podcast, Elliotte Friedman has officially revealed a timeline for the captain to return to the Bruins lineup.
Friedman stated that it looks like Marchand will not be returning to the lineup until after the March 7th NHL trade deadline.
But he also went on to say that the injury does not look like a long-term one.
Elliotte Friedman said on today's "32 Thoughts" podcast that it looks like Brad Marchand will be out until after Friday's trade deadline, but that it's not a long-term injury.

With no practice or media availability today, we probably won't get an official update until tomorrow.
The Bruins are dealing with a bunch of injuries right now, and are without some big names including Brad Marchand, Trent Frederic, Charlie McAvoy, and Hampus Lindholm.
