A scary scene unfolded in Hartford on Friday night as the Providence Bruins were visiting the Wolf Pack for game four of their playoff series.

Stretcher Comes Onto the Ice

Early in the third period, Providence defenseman Michael Callahan was in a race for the puck in his own end when a questionable hit from forward Will Lockwood left him lying motionless on the ice.

Check out the incident below:

After the dust settled, Lockwood was given a five-minute major for boarding a 10-minute misconduct. Mark Divver of New England Hockey Journal shared that shortly after, the play was halted for the stretcher, and Callahan was eventually taken off the ice.

Divver also had some positive news regarding Callahan, as he was spotted walking around on his power after the game.

''Thumb's up from Mike Callahan, who is up and about outside Bruins room downstairs.''

Unfortunately for Providence, they dropped game four by a score of 4-0 to Hartford and were eliminated from the AHL postseason in five games.
