In case you may have missed it, Snoop Dogg is the latest celebrity to be interested in purchasing the Ottawa Senators, but now, he's calling out the NHL.

Telling It How It Is

Since the reports of Snoop's interest in the Senators arose, the famous hip-hop artist has shown he's very serious about making an impact in the league.

According to him, he has a vision and he believes he could bring a lot, especially to the areas that are severely lacking. Which is how his recent dig at Gary Bettman and the NHL ties in.

Check it out:

"The NHL doesn't know how to market, like, McDavid is the best athlete in the world but you talk to most folks in the U.S. and they have no clue who the f*** he is.''

- Snoop Dogg

To be fair, although he's far and away the best player in the NHL, Connor McDavid does have the personality of a loaf of bread. There's obviously still ways to market the special things he does on the ice while having personalities like David Pastrnak or Matthew Tkachuk be the 'faces'' of the league.

Whether Ryan Reynolds or Snoop Dogg are a part of the group that purchases the Senators' franchise, it will be nothing but good news for the league.

Honestly, it's hard to disagree with Snoop, as Bettman and Co. could really learn some marketing skills from other leagues such as the NFL and NBA.
