The NHL Player's Safety just revealed Jamie Benn's fate after throwing a dirty hit from behind on Bruins Brandon Carlo.

The Boston Burins faced a scary situation during their 7-2 beatdown from the Dallas Stars last night in the opening frame.

Already down one defenseman in Andrew Peeke, the Boston Bruins almost lost another one last night as Brandon Carlo was the suspect of a dirty hit from Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn.

Jamie Benn boards Brandon Carlo from behind. Carlo was down for quite a bit of time.

Carlo has a history of concussions.

Things looked bad for Carlo at the beginning as he ended up needing assistance to exit the ice, and headed down to the Bruins locker room.

Not long after Brandon Carlo would return to the Boston Bruins bench and play the rest of the game with the Bruins.

Brandon Carlo is back on the Bruins bench.

Many were calling for Benn to be suspended as this is not his first time being involved in a controversial play, and we now finally have an answer from NHL Player Safety.

Being past 5 p.m. now and not hearing anything from the Player Safety reveals that no actions will be taken on Stars captain Jamie Benn.

Luckily for the Bruins Brandon Carlo is fine, but personally I think there should of at least been a hearing for this hit.

Like stated earlier Benn has been involved in many controversial plays and has been suspended multiple times by the NHL, he knew what he was doing. Thankfully Nikita Zadorov was on the ice when this happened and ended up handling Benn.

Do you think Jamie Benn should have been suspended for his hit on Brandon Carlo?
