The Boston Bruins went all-in on two NHLers on a trade this day, on August 29th, 1997.

The Bruins would trade Sandy Moger, Jozef Stumpel, and a 1998 4th round pick(105th overall who'd become Pierre Dagenais).

Stumpel would play 334 games with the LA Kings, and score 267 points in LA. While Sandy Moger scored 29 points in 104 games, with the Kings.

Whereas, Byron Dafoe would ask to be traded 1999 during contract negotiations with the Bruins.

Dafoe told The Boston Globe that Sinden claimed the team couldn't afford his request.

"To quote Harry, he said, 'If I were to pay you what you were asking for, the Boston Bruins go bankrupt. ... I'm not going to be like these other teams and run my team into the ground,'" Dafoe said.

"At the end, I got up and left. I couldn't take it anymore. For him (Sinden) to be crying poverty and to say I'm going to bankrupt the team with what I'm asking for, I think that's ridiculous. I came home, called the real estate agent, and the sign is going up (today)

Khristich would play 2 years in Boston, playing 161 games for the Bruins scoring 137 points( 58 G, 79 A). He also starred in the 1999 NHL All-Star game that season as well.
