Sometimes the hardest thing for teams and their players to do isfind common ground on a contract--cap hit and term. If both parties are unable to agree on a reasonable price, it typically results in bad deals or tension.
When compared to other teams, the Bruins, however, don't have many concerns as a whole. According to Joe Yerdon of Bleacher Report, the Boston Bruins'worst contract belongs toBrandon Carlo at 4 years x $4.1 million.
The worst contract, however, does not have to be the most expensive or the longest; it could also indicate a player's performance while under contract, among other things.
In all honesty, Brandon Carlo probably shouldn't be earning $4.1M when he hasn't even had a season with 20+ points. He came closest in 201920, finishing with 19 points in 67 games. Since then, his output has decreased; despite playing in 181 games, he has only amassed 35 points (12 goals and 23 assists).
