GM Don Sweeney will have to consider the Boston Bruins' goal-tending situation at the trade deadline. Jeremy Swayman has found his groove again, and honestly, it's hard to see where Korpisalo fits into the picture at this moment.

The Boston Bruins brought in Joonas Korpisalo as part of the trade package that sent goalie Linus Ullmark to Ottawa.

Korpisalo has had a rollercoaster ride this season, as he's played well at the beginning of the year.

Only to regress, while Jeremy Swayman has once again proven he's the team's #1 goalie.

Korpisalo's utilization has been limited, with a 7-4-2 record, 2.86 GAA, and a .892 save percentage.

Not remarkable, and not much different than his last season in Ottawa. Should the Bruins re-evaluate their situation with the Backup? It wouldn't be a bad idea, considering who is waiting in the wings in Providence.

Considering that the Bruins have Reid Dyck and Brandon Bussi waiting in the wings in Providence.

They can utilize the trade deadline to clear Korpisalo's $3 Million cap space from the books and find an affordable alternative as a stopgap until either prospect is NHL-ready.

One future UFA that will be available is the Vegas Golden Knights' Adin Hill, who if Sweeney brings in a third team to eat cap space, could be a good addition to the team.

He makes $4.9 Million currently, and if someone could retain half or more of that salary, it could be a coup for the Bruins, if Sweeney could extend him it could solidify the net until either P-Bruins goalie is ready to be promoted.
