Wayne Gretzky disrespects Patrice Bergeron on live television
Wayne Gretzky is under fire after disrespecting Boston Bruins legend Patrice Bergeron on live television.
During the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers game one of the Stanley Cup Finals Wayne Gretzky was on the panel with Sportsnet and ended up taking a shot at Patrice Bergeron.
The Great One went on to say that Aleksander Barkov is the best defensive hockey player he has ever seen since Bryan Trottier.
"No. 16 is the best defensive hockey player I've seen since Bryan Trottier." - Wayne Gretzky
Aleksander Barkov was humbled to hear the Great One's comments about him during Game 1 yesterday.
Barkov won his second career Selke Trophy this year after winning it for the first time in 2020-21.
Patrice Bergeron has the most Selke Trophies of all time with six, makes you wonder what Gretzky was thinking at the time when he said this. Fans were not happy with him either and made it known.
