Tragic News Hits The Hockey Community With Passing Of Former NHL Player
In a somber announcement, the Philadelphia Flyers confirmed the untimely passing of former tough guy Glen Cochrane at the age of 65.
Despite his relatively brief tenure in the National Hockey League, spanning 411 regular-season games across teams like the Flyers, Vancouver Canucks, Chicago Blackhawks, and Edmonton Oilers, Cochrane left a lasting impact on fans, particularly in Philadelphia.
During his six seasons with the Flyers, Cochrane's noteworthy contribution included averaging almost 5 penalty minutes per game, earning him the 10th spot on the all-time Flyers penalty minutes list. The team released an official statement expressing sadness at his passing and highlighting his key role in the Flyers' blue line.
