T.J. Oshie Welcomes Upcoming Star Into The League With Massive Hit
The young Columbus Blue Jackets forward has been impressing everyone during the NHL's preseason, but on Saturday night, he got a reality check from an NHL veteran.
In the second period of a preseason game between Fantilli's Blue Jackets and the Washington Capitals, Fantilli got a taste of the NHL's physicality when he was hit hard by Capitals forward T.J. Oshie.
Fantilli momentarily lost control of the puck and was searching for it when the experienced veteran saw an opportunity. Oshie delivered a massive hit that sent Fantilli's stick flying and him crashing to the ice.
To his credit, the rookie quickly got back on his feet and tried to brush off the big hit along the boards.
