Mark Kastelic dropped the gloves for the first time with the Boston Bruins after throwing a massive hit.

Mark Kastelic came flying down on Connor Mackey, who had the puck in the corner, and threw a massive hit.

New York Rangers defenseman did not like the hit, and made Mark Kastelic answer the bell by dropping the gloves.

The two exchanged some blows before the refs ultimately came in and broke it up, but Kastelic definitely got the better of Connor Mackey.

Mark Kastelic buries Connor Mackey in the corner. Mackey doesn't like the hit and they both drop the gloves.

The Boston Bruins acquired Mark Kastelic in the Linus Ullmark trade with the Ottawa Senators during the off-season, and many weren't too found of it. But during his short time with the Boston Bruins so far, he has quickly become a fan favourite.

He's a gritty player who is not afraid to throw the body or drop the gloves, and he fits the Boston Bruins dynamics perfectly.

Kastelic is not guaranteed a roster spot, but he has made a name for himself, and i think it is safe to say that we will see him playing for the Boston Bruins come opening night.

Do you think Mark Kastelic will make the Boston Bruins roster opening night?
