Friday night's matchup between the Minnesota Wild and the Florida Panthers was a wild ride right from the get-go.

The first period kicked off with quite a scene a scrum behind the Wild's net after Will Lockwood knocked goalie Marc-Andre Fleury down while he was out playing the puck.

Fleury's teammates rushed to his defense, with Zach Bogosian dropping his gloves and delivering a flurry of uppercuts to Lockwood's head. The whole sequence resulted in a bunch of penalties, making it clear that tensions were running high.

But Lockwood's night didn't get any easier. Later in the same period, he had to answer for his actions by going toe-to-toe with Brandon Duhaime. The two traded heavy blows, and the fight ended with a knockout punch from Duhaime that left Lockwood out cold, needing assistance to get back to his team's dressing room.

In the midst of all the intensity, Duhaime showed a touch of sportsmanship by checking on Lockwood after the knockout.

And as if one fight wasn't enough, another one erupted shortly after. Marcus Foligno, who had just been penalized for boarding, dropped the gloves with Panthers winger Jonah Gadjovich. The game wasn't even ten minutes old, and it was already filled with fights and penalties, giving us a taste of old-time hockey vibes.

All in all, it was a crazy night on the ice, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats and leaving us wondering what other surprises this hockey game had in store.
